This site is hosted by GitHub Pages. It has no analytics, ads or cookies of its own. GitHub may keep standard server logs (like IP addresses) to run and secure its service. See GitHub's privacy statement.
When you buy Deck OS
Purchases are handled by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, who is the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing address and payment details to process the order and handle sales tax, under their privacy policy. We never see your full card details. We receive your name, email, what you bought and your license key so we can support you.
The Deck OS app
- Stays on your computer: your Home Assistant address and token, accounts and passwords (stored scrambled, never readable), family details, settings, lists, clips and photos. We can't see any of it.
- License check: about once a week, Deck OS sends your license key and a name for the install (“Deck OS on” plus your computer's name) to Lemon Squeezy to confirm the key is still valid. Nothing about your home is sent.
- Features you choose to use contact the services behind them, for example map and place searches (OpenStreetMap), traffic maps, market prices, and free-movie search. Those requests can include what you searched for and, for nearby places, your home's approximate location. Each service has its own privacy policy.
- Deck OS has no analytics or tracking, and doesn't send us crash reports or usage data.
Children
Children under 13 may only use Deck OS through a Kid account that a parent or guardian creates on their own computer. That account's details stay on that computer. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
To see or delete the order details we hold (name, email, purchases), email us. To remove everything Deck OS stores, delete the Deck OS folder from your computer.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
